It was a thought-provoking experience exploring Oruaka Dinma Vocational and technical training centre, Coal Camp Enugu on a study tour and perspectives on best practices that can be applicable to the Centre of Practical Skills

The study tour was organized by ICMPD Enugu between July and August 2023 and focused on the vocational education best practices in Enugu and potential adaptations in the Centre of Practical Skills. It was an inspiring opportunity for the CoPS teachers to connect with teachers, students and change-makers and learn from each other’s experiences and knowledge in the Technical and vocational training centre and setup. A strong emphasis was placed on the importance of private sector engagement and its benefits and innovation as a means to make vocational education more accessible, equitable and sustainable.

CoPS is implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via the project “Skills Development for Youth Employment” which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and co-funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
